Could those two suggested reads be any more different! I have to say that I don't necessarily want streaming RNZ, as the radio already gives me that: I'd rather they did more to put programmes online so we can listen to them whenever - they've done that to some extent but the ABC is much more into it.
Streaming would give people overseas the opportunity to listen. I'm sure that's what prompted Dubber to speak up. And it's surely not that difficult to establish, given the number of stations that do it.
Heh - I was just being self interested! When I'm overseas, the last thing on my mind is the ability to have RNZ streaming to me through some cruddy web cafe at $4 - 12 an hour.
But yes, RNZ management don't seem to have much of a clue when it comes to streaming: given the diaspora, there's probably a fairly wide audience of overseas Kiwis.
