...and Lo the idiot Tam thought for a few precious moments that you had given birth to this so-called girl child or something. Jesus.

'26 April 2005' is misleading! You weren't born in 2005, liar! No cake for you!

Aww thanks all. I wasn't fishing or anything ;)

Yeah, I know I wasn't born in 2005.. but I'd said 2005 for my sisters' birthday last week... and 1980 just looked so old.

Took me all weekend to dig up that tapestry too. Family heirloom, you know ;)

Happy Birthday (even though it's STILL the 25th here).

1980 sounds old...no comment. Have a good one.

Happy Birthday!

I still can't believe there are grown-ups (sorry) born in the 80s.

I'm virtually from the ark.

Martha! Take that back!

I'm sure there aren't any grown-ups around here :)

Happy birthday Jessie! It was really good to see you on Saturday.

Hope you're not working (or working very hard) today. If it'll help, I won't work very hard out of respect for your birthday.

You're welcome :)

Hope you have a good 'un...! (Really liked the tapestry, by the way).

Sorry Jessie, you can't claim to not be a grown up then talk about National Radio in the same post. I'm afraid the two go hand in hand.

Although I didn't feel like a grown up til I had children, and even then until I had to start saying things like "don't let me tell you again" and "climb down off the roof".

Happy Birthday little sis - I still remember the very day you were born - it was a bright but blustery Autumn day in Wanganui... aaahhh. I recall I wasn't as excited as Dad was to be getting ANOTHER sister, but you were [are] awfully cute. My baby girl reminds me sometimes of you in fact. Must be the huge grin.
Love ya, Anna

If 1980 looks old, I don't think I'll even mention my decade of birth!

Tsh! 1980 was a good year. An *exceptionally* good vintage, in fact :)

Ditto Martha and Barry re: feelin' a bit old.

Okay, you're all right, I've edited my title, I own it, I was born in 1980. I guess I started out putting '2005' on my sisters' birthday post cos I figured they might not like the world to know their age. Seeing as I discussed the year of their birth within the post, that was a bit redundant.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. You'll be pleased to hear I survived my birthday, and things are looking up.

hey jessie i remember the day you were born too - we had to go round to Granzie's to meet you and they made us guess all the way there what your name was and the clue eventually given was that it started with "J" and when we finally found out it was Jessie i had a tantrum cos i thought it was gonna be "Jean" (named after me, right?). self-centred much? moi...? x ps hey i was only 6. hope the day was ace xx

Better late than never (this post I mean), I remember Anna and I being pulled out of our Brownie camp to visit you the day you were born. How glad was I, that camp sucked! Loved you the second I met you xxx
