Sydney - pictures

Opera House. Megan told me about a recent war protest where two men climbed up the roof and used paint rollers on broom sticks to write 'NO WAR' in red paint. Apparently they're still raising money to pay the massive clean-up fine. Sounds like they made their point, though

Post Office, King St, Newtown, along which street I did stroll many times

Memorial for a past mayor, with winged dogs (?)

Looking up at some nice coloured stone buildings between Hyde Park and the Domain. I find that looking up often has its advantages.

St Mary's Cathedral. Big

Graffiti guitars. It's a feeling I think I understand

Indigenous Aboriginal art on one of the many small one-way streets in Newtown

Martin Luther King Jr mural on King St, Newtown. On it is painted a request that people don't poster over it - and no one ever does

Nelson - didn't go to Glebe, no pics of KC, didn't go to Manly this time, only got as far as Bondi Junction... not much of a tourist, really.

Thanks Llew. And thanks James, I certainly take that as a compliment! I just hope the page doesn't take too long to load for dial-uppers. It's probably the last photo post for a while.

I still can't believe that, upon arrival in Melbourne, you rocked over to the neighbours and introduced yourself. Yeah - nah - yeah, that is brave. You are a born traveller, I reckon. And you know, if you ever happen to find yourself in Montréal - you always have a place to stay...
