Some history

I went to Mount Maunganui on Saturday, and saw Deja Voodoo play at Brewer's Bar - great show. They're on tour this month with Shaky Hands and Steriogram. On the way back to Auckland we stopped at the Karangahake Gorge and wandered around the site of a gold stamper battery.

I guess I could provide some more info.. the stamp battery thing was the first in the world to use cyanide to separate base quartz from gold. Worth a look. There's tunnels n stuff.
