Why Not to have Codeine for Breakfast

  1. Known contributing factor to reckless disregard for time and causal in failure to appear at work on time;
  2. Can cause one to tangle one’s undeniably high heel in carelessly placed beanbag hence –
  3. Causes one to fling one’s laptop in the air and diminishes one’s ability to catch it again due to simultaneously landing on the floor beside it; and
  4. Greatly increases one’s chance of falling down steps due to inability to retain said undeniably high heel firmly on foot.

Next time I’ll know better. I woke up with a headache, okay?

Last night a group of friends and I went to see Bridget Jones Diary 2: the Edge of Reason. Of course it was almost entirely a vehicle for gratuitous perving at Colin-Firth-as-Mr-Darcy so the blatant lack of plausibility and a cohesive plot didn’t bother me in the slightest. Ohh Mr Darcy. For some enlightenment into the important issues raised by the film take a look here.

What intrigues me about the Firth vs Grant debate you linked to is all the posts that have been removed by the administrators.

Do you think the thought of this rivalry pushes people past the brink of common decency?

Or perhaps those posts were suggesting some options about how Colin and Hugh could 'come together' and forget their differences?

I'm off to see it tonight, but after a fairly involved wine-tasting, so should be fun.

Bugger about the less than scenic detour to the ground.

Turned out to be codeine for breakfast, lunch and dinner - bit of a headache-weekend. But I battled through it pretty well. Had to stop taking painkillers by Saturday morning lest I tear the insides of my stomach to shreds. All recovered now!

Stunning weekend, too. First swim! \o/

My house isn't crazy! It's just a little eccentric... like the guy who built it.
