Damn.

I forgot my favourite earrings. Left them on my dresser.

And I forgot my book. The one I especially requested from the library and collected in time to bring on tour - Flann O'Brien's 'The Third Policeman'.

Invercargill is okay so far. Very flat. There is a watertower but it's only open on Saturdays and public holidays, neither of which is today.

Yeah, it must rip your undies to have forgotten things you needed. But maybe you should go shopping for more earrings?! That's what I would do! And I guess there may be a bit of down-time for you, so I hope you can fill it without your book. They probably have them too, at the bottom of NZ...

have you noticed that the only second hand store in invercargill is cash converters? I always thought that was odd.

Weird - I just finished reading Third Policeman last week. If I hadn't already on-lent it to someone, I could have lent it to you - it is one fantastically weird book, Irish magical realism before anyone had ever heard of the term! And I have to write an honours diss on it this year.

No way is the only second hand shop Cash Convertors! Op shopping is great in Invers, Bell and White, Hubbers Emporium, Habitat for Humanity... loads of bargains to be had, second hand shops are the first thing i hit when in Invervegas!

I read the Third Policeman recently as it was supposed to provide "ammunition" for figuring out what's going on in Lost. It's definitely a first of its kind story.

Hey Joe, yeah that's why I'm reading it. Although I haven't seen any Lost episodes for a good month now but I expect I'll have a revival this week.. so, did it help??
